So soon with another guilty pleasure? Well, I couldn’t resist. Now, in 2017, it will have been 40 years since the punk explosion of ’77. I was a little too young to totally understand it. It’s not just the music, there is a punk ethic and a punk way of looking at things. I get all that, and I am sure there will always be a lot of looking back wihin the media to the punk scene. Now, I am not a fan of the Sex Pistols, the punk bank that the media always falls back on, I saw them as one trick ponies and pretty much nothing without Lydon. I have a lot of time for Lydon, his autobiography is a good read, he talks a lot of sense and has made some great music over the years. A lot of punk bands have probably one good song, and alot of dross. Which is where this guilty pleasure comes in. Spizz Energi changed their names a lot of times (Spizz Energi, Spizz Oil, Althetico Spizz 80, The Spizzles to name but a few) and banged out this punk classic. I’ll muse on punk another time, but for now, where is Captain Kirk?
