As a child, most weekends would include a trip to the library. This continued through my teen years. Not only did I learn so much, not only did I fall in love with books, but it was also a place of sanctuary. A place to gather my thoughts. A place to lose myself between the pages.

I am a voracious reader. I average 52 books a year (oooh! check me out!). I remember an incident of a misremembered book. I read this book, which was absolutely amazing. So entertaining. But I forgot the title, and had to explain to the librarian (roughly) what the book was about. Amazingly, she was able to find the title. (I think I was about 13 at the time). Over time, I have forgotten the title of the book, again. So, the misremebering of titles must be a fairly regular occurence for your typical librarian.

The list below is from Fukui Prefrecture library, and it is a list of the misremembered books and what the reader was actually looking for. When you open the list, allow Google to translate from Japanese to English (unless you can speak Japanese, obviously).
