guilty pleasure #28

I just don’t know where to begin with this, I really don’t. A weird blend of B-movie kitsch and faux Elvis. Not being a fan of either will not be a barrier to you. Flaming brass section and guitar swinging aside, it’s a great track. The NME (when it was a music newspaper and not just an free advertorial magazine) turned me on to this band. I bought the album, but it didn’t really move me. This track is the standout, and the other is ‘On a Rope’, but that’s for another day.
