It took me sooooo long to find this gem. There was a weird tradition that dictated that ska bands, early in their career, had to cover a tune or song, and skank it up a bit. Madness did it. The Nutty Boys did it. You get the drift. (So, I won’t bore you with the magic key I needed to unlock my search). The Loafers were a UK-based ska outfit. I had the first album. There were a couple of good tracks but this stood-out as the homage to the skank-fuelled cover version. Their cover of The Munsters theme tune, cleverly titled “Skanenstein” (see what they did there), is still worth a listen.
