I just always got the sense that in a world populated by Pop Will Eat Itself, Carter USM and Neds Atomic Dustbin, Jesus Jones were left thinking “If we can only try harder, we’ll crack it”. I don’t think they ever had the commercial success of the aforementioned bands. For me, this is just a perfect slice of indie. Guitars and samplers. It filled a dancefloor at the Student Union.
