I freelance. Not a huge amount and it can be a little sporadic in nature, but when it comes to billing it can become a little complex. Some companies offer payment on the overall project, some pay on units but some do insist on paying by the hour. If the company wants to charge by the hour, then tracking your hours becomes really important.

Toggl has a very streamlined approach to time management which really allows for those who need to track per hour. Toggle has a very user-friendly interface allowing for effortless tracking of time of various tasks, sub-tasks or projects. Where I really like Toggl is the detailed reporting features which gives me some insights as to where my time is actually spent which enables me some insights into efficiency and productivity. The added benefit of this is that I can allocate time to high-priority tasks and not allow myself to waste time on non-crucial tasks.
