Digital Nomad – Tools of the Trade #7 – Obsidian

I am all about taking notes, and as I have previously confessed, I do love good ol’ pen on paper prefrably in a notebook. However, sometimes I do require some digital note taking. Depending on the project in hand I am getting quite taken with Obsidian. Obsidian is particularly helpful for anyone storing or organizing something that is a little complex.

Obsidian uses Markdown, which is a very simple way to format text. The key factor here is how you can link your notes thus creating a network that reflects how your ideas relate and connent to each other. In a way it is building a database of information without building a database and all the structual hassles that come with it.

There are a wide range of customisation options but a big factor for me is that your notebook is stored locally giving you full control and instant access to your notes. Having your notes structured in the way Obsidian does it allows you to be creative but very organised.

Why not pop across and see what Obsidian can offer you.
