Hey, you’re back. Great. Now I hate to call you out at the start of this post, but, you’re probably wrong. There is so much you think is correct, or you think you’re correct about, but you’re probably wrong. The older I get, the more I realise I was wrong or am currently wrong about. Life isn’t black and white, it’s just shades of grey. Infinite shades of grey. Just feel the ongoing greyness. Now obviously the common sense stuff like sticking your hand in the blender or playing with fire, that stays in the ‘you’re right about this’ column. Sometimes, we hear or read stuff that taps into our current belief system, it confirms our world view, and we fail to check it out to see if it is really correct. Conversely, we see something that is a polar opposite to our beliefs and we fact-check the shit out of it to disprove it, so we can continue to hold on to our beliefs. We don’t want the good ship ‘Beliefs’ to be rocked by choppy seas. It’s little things, it’s big things, but there is a lot we are so wrong about. You have to check in and re-evaluate those beliefs. You have to update that internal Operating System just to make sure we’re not missing out on any important updates. Always update, man. Always update.
