Despite growing up in the Two Tone era, there were a few bands in that scene that just never clicked with me. One of those bands was Bad Manners. I always viewed them as something of a novelty act. Now novelty acts are all well and good, nothing wrong with them per se, but in a scene with amazing bands such as The Specials, Madness, The Beat, well Bad Manners seemed like a bit of a bad joke. However, I was re-introduced to “Inner London Violence”, and it’s quite a classic of it’s time. It must be half-decent as Jerry Dammers included it on the Dance Craze compilation despite Bad Manners not being on the Two Tone label.
